Open doors April
The Provincial Consortium of Firefighters Museum returns to the past during the month of April with two open days.
Stories of April is a cycle of two open days with free entry, where we will reflect on the historical origins of fire, the early years of the founding of the city of Alcoy, and how fires were in the times of “Moors and Christians.”
On the 13th, at 11:30 AM, we will have a very special gymkhana: “The Great Adventure of Prehistory”, a game organized by Manetes de Punt, where our visitors will learn about the origin of fire and discover what life was like thousands of years ago, all while surrounded by fire trucks. Places are limited, and registration is required. The deadline for registration is April 10th.
On the 27th of April, we will also have, at 11:30 AM, a theatrical tour: “Al-Azraq Wants to Burn the Castle” to explore the museum and the work of medieval firefighters during the conquest period in a different way. Prior registration is mandatory, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
For both activities, places are limited. They are recommended for family audiences from 5 years old.
Additionally, MuBoma always offers something extra, and this time “The Magic of Water” returns: a guided tour where scientific demonstrations will reveal surprising facts about water. Is it magic? No, it’s science. It will take place on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th of April at 12:00 PM. This activity requires a minimum of 4 participants to take place. The fee is €3 for adults and €1.50 for children’s entry. Registration is required with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. The activity is recommended for children from 5 years old.
On Saturday, the 26th, we will also have a guided tour at 12:00 PM for those who wish to learn about the museum in a complete and detailed way. Entry is with the museum’s regular admission fee and also requires prior registration with a minimum of 48 hours.
Finally, please note that on the 18th and 21st of April, the museum will be open from 11 AM to 2 PM. The rest of the month, the museum will operate under its regular hours.
